CNA/Restorative Aid - Skilled Nursing

Part-time and Full-time positions available.
Day and night shift available.
JOB REQUIREMENTSMinimum Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Work
Experience:
Prior experience in a long term care facility is preferred but not required.
Required Licenses / Certifications:
BLS, CNA Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively and document information accurately.
Ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals.
Knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred.
Basic computer knowledge is preferred.
Ability to move or lift patients and equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Demonstrates the skills and judgment necessary to provide patient care/support services to staff under the direction of licensed personnel.
Documents all cares and patient interactions appropriately in the medical records including vital signs, intake and output, ADL's, etc.
within the CNA's scope of practice.
Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment.
Ensures each patient receives or is offered hygiene cares daily including bathing, linen change and oral care.
Safely discontinue IV and heplocks, foleys, NG or OG tubes from patients after completing competency.
Monitors unit equipment for safe use by use of maintenance log or removal of unsafe equipment.
The CNA is responsible for assisting with procedures, activities and safety of the patients.
Treats patients and family with respect and dignity.
Interacts professionally with patient/family and provides explanations and verbal reassurance within scope of practice.
Answers phone in a polite manner with requested scripting, communicates information to the appropriate personnel/family in a timely manner.
Operates and cleans equipment safely and correctly.
Reports any malfunctioning equipment to bio-med.
Performs other duties as assigned by charge nurse or Dept.
manager.
Displays phone etiquette when answering phone by stating Greeting, Area, Identifying self and position.
Assists include but are not limited to moving patients, serving or feeding patients, performing daily cares, bed making, answering call lights, assisting with procedures and passing patient written information upon RN request.
Re-stock refrigerators, clean IV poles, order supplies as needed on set ordering schedule.
Check Glucometer QC, stock needles and syringes in medication area.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
