Maintenance Manager


Summary
This position is accountable for planning, organizing, and administering policies, practices, and procedures related to all aspects of plant maintenance and assuring optimum utilization of assigned materials, capital and personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Deliver strategic and tactical direction to the maintenance department. This includes providing the leadership and guidance necessary to establish and execute best practices for areas of responsibility.
2. Budgetary responsibility for line item and capital expenditures.
3. Maximize throughput by elimination of unscheduled downtime and achieving performance enhancements to the processes and machinery.
4. Work with other facility departments to ensure compliance to regulatory and legislative codes and Company requirements.
5. Support all organizational initiatives and goals. Provide support for all functionalities at the facility.
6. Responsible to coordinate long range maintenance plans with all plant and Campus departments. This includes regularly communicating all plant facility plans to affected departments.
Proactively manage safety by ensuring compliance with all Federal and State regulations and internal Company policies. Regularly complete behavior based safety observations. Ensure unsafe conditions are corrected in a timely manner.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises the all maintenance hourly employees, maintenance planner, and storeroom supervisor. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
This position requires a degree in engineering, preferably mechanical or electrical, with a minimum of three years of project experience, or equivalent and the ability to build and lead a team. This position plays the key roll of leadership for the maintenance department, which provides essential service to all areas of plant operations. The degree of efficiency achieved in the applications of this required services has major impact on the plant's ability to maintain a competitive position in the markets.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple to complex instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write various types of documents including, but not limited to instructions, disciplinary action and performance appraisals. Ability to effectively present information verbally in one-on-one to large group (20+) situations. Ability to effectively facilitate meetings.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to creatively apply experience and common sense to a variety of situations, processes and people. Ability to make technical decisions and support the staff on technical issues. Ability to manage several projects concurrently. Ability to recognize lack of direction and motivate the organization to take action to correct problems. These issues may include conflicts between employees, equipment malfunction, and variation in operating conditions.
Computer Skills
Computer skills for effective use of CAD and Microsoft Office suite.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee occasionally must access high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme heat. . In dealing with each of these hazards the proper safety equipment must be used. The employee is also regularly in an office environment. The employee will divide work time between a regular office environment and the plant itself. The noise level in the plant is usually loud, requiring hearing protection.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
