Ag Sales Representative

Job Description
This position is responsible for selling AGCO Equipment and Agri-Service, as a company, to our entire customer base in our territory. Performs cold calls, enhances and maintains customer contact with owner/principals to sell and influence the initial usage and/or continued usage of AGCO Equipment and the products and services of Agri-Service. This role is to be a trusted consultant to the customer when making equipment-buying decisions.
â ¢ Identifies and calls on all customers and potential customers of AGCO for new, used or traded equipment within the assigned territory.
â ¢ Maintains call quantity and quality to assure the development of a positive relationship with each customer.
â ¢ Develops and maintains the sales skills necessary to sell a premium priced product.
â ¢ Develops and maintains product knowledge on AGCO and Agri-Service products.
â ¢ Identifies customersâ  needs and develops an effective solution with the use of AGCO Equipment products and Agri-Service services.
â ¢ Works hand in hand with other departments within Agri-Service.
â ¢ Conducts product presentations to customer groups.
â ¢ Embraces integrity, quality and responsiveness to customer needs.
â ¢ Ensures product knowledge of AGCO and Agri-Service offerings are up to date.
â ¢ Communicates the needs and concerns of the territory and ensure resolution is found.
â ¢ Completes call reports and ensure that the needs of our customers are communicated through out the organization.
â ¢ Understands and uses offerings from AGCO Finance or other finance companies.
â ¢ Adheres to all customer care standards.
â ¢ Actively cares and advocates safety at Agri-Service. Adhere to all applicable safety policies, procedures and standards.
â ¢ May accomplish training and serve as a team member in support of Western Statesâ  strategic programs, projects, and initiatives.
â ¢ Works within and promote corporate vision, mission, and values of the organization.
â ¢ Performs other duties as assigned.
â ¢ Demonstrated experience and knowledge of sales skills necessary to sell a premium priced product.
â ¢ Ability to develop and maintain product knowledge of AGCO and Agri-Service products.
â ¢ Proven competence in the four pillars of a sales professional: personal disciplines, relationship skills, strategic selling, and tactical selling.
â ¢ Ability to assess customer needs and evaluate customer satisfactions.
â ¢ Ability to quickly identify problems, approach work from a solutions based focus, and develop creative solutions to complex issues.
â ¢ Proficient in the use of Microsoft or other comparable systems required.
â ¢ Knowledge or ability to learn DBS and Sales Link.
â ¢ Proven skills in written and verbal communications, planning, organizing, leadership and interpersonal relationship building.
â ¢ Ability to set and manage priorities.
â ¢ Drive and maintain company vehicle.
â ¢ Must be a self starter and able to work without supervision.
â ¢ Consistent attendance.
â ¢ Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). College degree or equivalent work experience required.
â ¢ 1 to 3 years sales experience in a heavy equipment environment required. Agriculture experience preferred.
â ¢ Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English).
â ¢ Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
