Patient Financial Advocate

Full-time postion.
The Patient Financial Advocate will answer all incoming phone calls to the Patient Financial Services phone line. They will assist the patient with any questions and will work with the patient to resolve their bills within Bingham Memorial Hospital guidelines.
Responsible to answer all incoming phone calls for the business office and appropriately responding to the request.
Transfers phone calls to the appropriate specialized billing clerk if needed.
Assumes responsiblity for an assigned portion of the private pay accounts receivable.
Makes phone calls and sends letters and correspondence on assigned accounts in accordance with the collection procedures.
Provides information on payment programs and discounts to callers.
Coordinates the payments of all private pay outstanding accounts on the Bingham Memorial AR, the Clinic(s) and the IDH AR.
Responsible for maintaining a high level of customer service with each interaction with the community.
Responsible to post payments in all systems and to balance their receipts.
Must have previous experience in finance or business office areas.
Must have excellent customer service skills and computer skills.
Bilingual skills preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
